We may collect the following categories of information.
Account and contact information: name, email address, account identifiers, billing address, shipping address, Company / Organization information, and customer-support communications.
Buyer Qualification and research-use eligibility information: date of birth, age status or 21+ confirmation, field of qualified research, Company / Organization, qualification status, qualification timestamps, RUO attestation status and timestamps, Terms acknowledgement status and timestamps, Privacy acknowledgement or policy-version identifiers, and related account eligibility records.

Payment-related information: payment method information needed to process a transaction, payment authorization status, transaction identifiers, partial card details such as brand or last four digits where supplied by processors, billing verification results, fraud or risk indicators, and payment-dispute information. Communications and support information: messages you send us, order questions, documentation requests, policy questions, fraud or unauthorized-charge reports, and other interactions with customer support.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- operate the Site and Shopify storefront;

3. Buyer Qualification Information
Because ELIXIR products are strictly for laboratory Research Use Only and purchases require a qualified account, we collect Buyer Qualification information to confirm age eligibility, research-use context, Company / Organization association, required attestations, and qualification status.
Buyer Qualification information may be used to approve, deny, reset, revoke, or request re-verification of qualification; block checkout; respond to order, payment, compliance, or chargeback reviews; and preserve records of required acknowledgements.
Some Buyer Qualification records may need to be retained even if an account is later inactive, reset, revoked, or subject to a deletion request, where retention is reasonably necessary for compliance, fraud prevention, transaction records, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or policy enforcement.
4. Payment Processing
Payments are processed through Shopify or payment processors or financial service providers made available at checkout. ELIXIR does not store full payment-card numbers on the Site. Payment processors may collect and process payment information according to their own terms, security standards, and privacy policies.
We may receive transaction status, authorization information, fraud or risk indicators, payment method descriptors, partial payment details, refund status, chargeback status, and dispute information needed to process orders and respond to payment issues.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
The Site may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies for essential Site functionality, Shopify checkout and accounts, cart behavior, access gates, security, fraud prevention, analytics, preferences, performance, and marketing where permitted.
You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings or privacy-choice tools. Disabling some cookies may affect Site, cart, account, checkout, or security functionality.
6. How We Disclose Information

- payment processors, gateways, card networks, banks, fraud-prevention services, and financial institutions;

We may provide relevant order, account, Buyer Qualification, attestation, shipping, communication, and transaction evidence to payment processors, banks, card networks, fraud-prevention providers, carriers, advisors, or authorities to investigate or respond to chargebacks, disputes, fraud, unauthorized payment claims, Prohibited Use concerns, or legal obligations.
7. Marketing Communications
If we offer marketing communications, we may use your email address or contact information to send product availability, policy, company, or promotional updates where permitted. You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing, you may still receive transactional, account, policy, security, order, Buyer Qualification, or service communications.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including account management, Buyer Qualification, order processing, payment and tax records, shipping, customer support, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, policy enforcement, and security.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, account status, order history, legal obligations, dispute risk, and operational needs. We may retain certain transaction, qualification, acknowledgement, and compliance records where necessary even after an account is closed or a privacy request is submitted.
9. Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, knowledge about, correction of, deletion of, portability of, restriction of, or information about certain personal information. You may also have rights to opt out of certain processing, targeted advertising, sale or sharing of personal information as those terms are defined by applicable law, or marketing communications.
Where required by applicable law, you may also have the right to appeal a privacy-rights decision and may be permitted to use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. ELIXIR may need to verify your identity, and may need an authorized agent to provide proof of authorization, before completing a request.
We will respond to privacy requests as required by applicable law. Some requests may be limited where information must be retained for transaction records, Buyer Qualification records, fraud prevention, payment disputes, legal compliance, security, or policy enforcement.
To submit a privacy request, contact info@elixirls.com.
10. Your Privacy Choices
Where applicable, you may exercise opt-out choices relating to sale, sharing, or targeted advertising as defined by applicable law through ELIXIR’s Shopify-supported privacy-choice page at /pages/data-sharing-opt-out. The existence of this privacy-choice tool does not mean that ELIXIR sells personal information in the ordinary sense of that word.
Where required or supported, Shopify/customer-privacy tooling may also process opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control for the browser or device used to visit the Site. ELIXIR does not create custom Global Privacy Control infrastructure separate from Shopify/customer-privacy tooling.
Shopify also provides information about how Shopify processes personal information and privacy rights that may relate to data processed by Shopify at https://privacy.shopify.com/en.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Shopify and payment processors provide security infrastructure for storefront, account, checkout, and payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. International Users
ELIXIR is based in the United States and ships only within the United States, excluding U.S. territories. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where Shopify, payment processors, carriers, or service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have privacy laws different from your location.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on the Site with an updated date. If a change materially affects Buyer Qualification, privacy rights, or eligibility records, ELIXIR may require renewed acknowledgement before future purchases.
